VOCO has become the 2007 National Harmony Sweepstakes Acapella Champions!

Who is VOCO?

Harmony Sweepstakes champions, moira smiley & VOCO - vocal-band with cello, banjo & accordion - is the energy of street singing, the risks of improvisation, precision of a string quartet. Sounds like sweet, hard-driving Americana, crooked eastern European dance - body-stompin' and voices soaring! Joyous, rebellious, hair-raising harmonies - music that mourns and dances at the same time. Called "a truly phenomenal act" by Folkworks Magazine, "fascinating and multi-lingual" by the LA Times. VOCO is taking it to festival mainstages across the U.S., headlining legendary folk venues like Freight & Salvage, McCabes and Ten Pound Fiddle. They've also been featured on nationally-syndicated Pacifica Radio's, "Folkscene" and NPR's "Insight". "VOCO's star is rising fast". Check out their album "Blink" on iTunes. VOCO's singing is lyricism in motion - utterly unique.
